Proclaiming God's Word...Extending His Love

Pastor and Staff

Rev. Travis Henderson

Pastor

OBJECTIVE

My objective is to serve this congregation as their Pastor to help open doors to hope and wholeness with the congregation, the lay leaders, and the staff. To faithfully preach and teach the Word of God.  To train believers to study the word of God, not just read it.  I hope to encourage, lift up, and love people as Christ did.

APPROACH TO MINISTRY

 Preaching

Expository preaching is always biblical, and intentional. Wednesday and Sunday services vary in length. I base all sermons on God’s printed Word, the Bible, and God’s living Word, Jesus. I lift up God the Father, Jesus the savior, and the Holy Spirit our guide and comforter. Preaching and teaching is mostly expositional. Currenly Sunday morning messages are from the book of Jonah, and Sunday night messages are from Genesis; as we study how to take the Gospel to the nations. Wednesday evening Bible studies are focusing on prayer and seeking the face of God.

The Morning Worship Service

The Sunday Morning Worship must help you the worshipper experience God. The service bridges time-honored worship with today; youth to tradition; and those not part of the church to the loving church of God.  The morning service is a blended worship service.  All are welcome in our church.  You will not be out of place by what you are wearing, the color of your skin, or where you work.  We are all children of God and made in his image.

The Evening Worship Service

The evening worship service is a time to help believers grapple with discipleship issues. The worship leads worshippers to discover Biblical truths about issues of life, develop community throughout the church, and to expand the kingdom of God one person at a time.

Leadership of People

Shared leadership style builds a trusting relationship between pastor, staff, and people in pursuit of the Great Commission’s objectives. Building on the strengths of all the members of the body maximizes the potential for God to accomplish His purpose and continually buildup the church. A healthy church has a trusting relationship between Pastor and people in pursuit of the Great Commission in which both achieve greater than expected.
